I’ve had this conversation quite a bit with people in recovery about the difference between step 4 in ACA (Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families) vs. other 12-step programs. In case you’re unfamiliar with step 4, it is focused on taking a good hard look at the patterns of our behavior, more specifically, looking for our part in all of the chaos, drama, and dysfunction in our life. This week’s episode 224 of the Fragmented to Whole Podcast is about taking a searching and blameless inventory vs. a searching and fearless inventory.

In this episode of the Fragmented to Whole Podcast, I’m sharing the difference in the way step 4 is done in ACA vs. how it is done in the AA “Big Book” way and in other 12-step programs. I also share what this inventory looks like using personal examples from my life.
Be sure to tune in to all the episodes to receive tons of practical tips on living a more whole life and to hear even more about the points outlined above.
