Groundwork:
Anchoring Your ACA Recovery

A 4-Week Mentoring Series
with Barb Nangle

Not sure where to start in ACA*?

This isn’t sponsorship. It’s something gentler.

A 4-week private mentoring experience to help adult children anchor into ACA literature, reflect on their lived experience, and feel less alone.

What Groundwork Is...

If you’re new to ACA—or you’ve been around for a while but never fully connected with the literature—this is for you.

Groundwork is a 4-week 1:1 mentoring experience where I walk you through some of the most essential ACA writings:
✓ The Problem
✓ The Solution
✓ The Promises
✓ The Laundry List + Other Laundry List

We’ll read, reflect, and talk through how these truths show up in your life. This is not sponsorship and we will not be doing the 12 Steps. But you’ll come away with something just as valuable: clarity, resonance, and a deeper understanding of your experience as an adult child.

This ACA Mentoring Program is for you if…

  • You’ve read or heard about ACA but don’t feel grounded in it yet
  • You recognize yourself in the Laundry List and want to unpack it

  • You’re still not sure what the “problem” is—or what the “solution” might be

  • You’re feeling stuck between recognizing family dysfunction and not knowing what to do about it

  • You’re not ready to dive into step work, but you want to start somewhere

  • You crave a safe, calm, direct mentor who can help you feel seen

  • You want to stop feeling ashamed for how you learned to survive

~ Lauren

Within four weeks with Barb, I had experienced more growth than I had experienced in 4 years with my private therapist.

~ Claire

I quickly felt all the warmth and growth that is possible for a person when a lifelong shame finally thaws. Self-compassion is real for me now, for the first time EVER. No exaggeration.

~Jean

Barb helped me to value and respect myself and to make that my center.

~ Louise

I've learned the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships and how I may have equated love with behavior that I was taught that is actually unhealthy.

~ Chris
